So, I have come to the conclusion that Rosie the loud mouthed Macaw is not baby friendly.
We had a tiny visitor today and when I left my red girls sight, screaming ensued. Which lead to the poor baby crying. So I had to keep Rosie with me or in eyesight to avoid any more screaming and crying. This has happened before, with a family friends toddler, on several occasions. If I am outside and he comes in, Rosie screams, as she does whenever the door opens and I am not in her eyesight. It has gotten to the point that he looks at her and I can see him get visibly nervous. Even when she hasn't made a peep. Uggh! That loud, window cracking voice of hers is not compatible with tiny, sensitive ears.
Which makes me wonder how people with birds first and then babies do it? I cannot even imagine the chaos that would ensue here. It would be really, really tough!!!
