SIGH....
So Rosie has been screaming for me more than ever this summer. It got so bad the other night, when she was actually screaming for Ash & her friend i/o me, that I put her to bed early and went and hid upstairs in my room with my headphones turned up full blast. Fortunately, everyone else was out, so she quieted down after a few minutes. She is killing me.
The kicker is, it isn't her fault. The whole toddler thing completely applies here. She has figured out that when the kids are home, it soooo pays to scream. Like a toddler, she figured out how to manipulate the situation to get the results she wants.
Jef and I had been doing our best to ignore the screaming. But then summer started and the kids are home. When Rosie screams, they scream, "MOOOMMMMM, PLEASE!!! GO GET THE BIRD & MAKE HER STOP SCREAMING!!!". So now it is a fun activity bc the whole house is screaming together. Plus, Rosie gets Mommy to come get her, even if Mommy is muttering and swearing under her breath.
I feel like I am getting nothing accomplished at all b/c if I leave Rosie's line of vision, the whole house is in an uproar. As much as I love having the kids home, I will be very happy when things go back to normal. Then we can work on the screaming issue and I can get some things done and maybe catch a breath.
Ok, done venting. It has been a LONG month here at the Fitz Farm. I am hoping to be more active on the forum soon, although it may not be until I can think without a child or bird yelling at me. :)
