These seem like they would be great in a pinch or when traveling with your fids. They probably would be great for those picky eaters as well. Fairly inexpensive too.

Cool idea! Birds would probably go for it! My niece feeds her baby these, boy oh boy, packaged baby food has come a long way since my days of feeding them :). Is it even sold in jars anymore?

I still see the glass jars at the supermarket.

I use those in Mina's Harrison's birdie bread in the hope that one day she will actually eat a piece and not just throw it around.

What ever you do, Kim, don't give up trying to find something they like. My U2, Amigo, is my pickiest eater and I know he will always eat his favorites but I'm always trying to tempt him with new foods.

This is something I haven't tried yet. I will soon be looking at the name brand organic stage 2 baby food and cereal as well as snacks. Winter is around the corner and I want to keep a bit of back stock stored for when the fresh veggies and fruit become less available and higher in cost.

Baby food is made for humans which means all the vitamins added to these things will be an over load for birds.

I would say that is true in a lot of baby foods. The first thing that I looked at in these was the ingredient list and I see nothing added. It is strictly the food and organic at that.

I would not trust that until I saw what was listed on the Nutrition Facts listing because everything is always fortified with everything under the sun for human babies.

I agree 100% and you can't be too careful. Nutritional facts are also stated. I trust it. I still think they would be great in a pinch, for traveling or an occasional treat.

Yes, moderation and occasional is the key is what I get from all of this. Sparingly. Not like feeding them just the baby food or cereal.
