We had another beautiful sunset tonight and I was thinking that it would be really nice to see yours, also :). Here are a few of mine.

I only know what I know and would love to see other parts of people's views!
Here is a shot from our deck, facing the same direction I would take a sunset from but the sun is RISING behind me.

Just beautiful, Mare! My sunsets and sunrises are blocked by near hills and trees :(

Gorgeous! I will try to get one here tonight. It won't be nearly as stunning, as we are in a flat area. This used to be all farm land.
Here is a sunset in my favorite place in the world, Hilton Head Island, SC.

Beautiful sunsets you guys have. Mare, I love that sunrise over the hills.
Here are a couple of sunsets I was able to capture in Lake Arrowhead, CA While visiting my parents.

I'm always awake when the sun rises but I never have my camera with me
Gorgeous shot, Kendra! I love the pinks and purples. To me, sunsets are fascinating when the colors change so rapidly, after only minutes they can have a totally different look!
Beautiful, Lori! Almost looks like wildfires eating up the hills! (I know that area, well, and know they've seen their share of them :(). Thanks for sharing, girls! :)
This one is probably, my all time favorite taken from our deck[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]
This was taken, a few years back, when we had a arsonist living in the next town over from us. After around eleven fires, from him, they finally caught him. It seemed like every Friday night he'd go out and get his kicks by starting a fire, dumbass!! The air was smoke filled for months :([Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

Mare- What happened to your first image in post #1? It's now showing the photobucket missing image placeholder.
You know what, Tony? I did some house cleaning in my photobucket this morning,,hmm..maybe when I erase photos from there, photos that I've used from there are also erased?? Is that how it works?? I'll pull them back up from my library, into photobucket and see if they reappear.
Ok, I have them back in photobucket but have no idea how to get them back to that post, do you have any advice?

Ok, I have them back in photobucket but have no idea how to get them back to that post, do you have any advice? When you put a link to a remotely stored image within the body of a post, it's like a window (or a wormhole) to the image on the remote storage site (in this case, to your image residing on the photobucket site). When you placed the image's address in the URL field on the 'Insert Image' dialog, if you would have placed a check mark in the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box below the URL field, the image would have stored locally on the forum server. Otherwise, when you delete or move a referenced image on your storage site the image will vanish from your forum post as well. Hopefully that adequately explains why your photo disappeared.
Thanks for the explanation, Tony, it was mostly in Chinese but I got the gist of it :) thank you. I'll put them up again. This is last night's sunset[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

but I got the gist of it :)That gist is simply this: Whenever you delete an image on photobucket, any link pointing to that image won't see it anymore (because it's no longer there). But if you put a check in the check box I mentioned, it copies the image to the PP forum server... meaning that PP doesn't have to retrieve it from photobucket each time someone views the post. That way it will never vanish.
I see that you biffed the image in your second post as well ;). I've fixed both images for you ;)
Thank you..I think..what does biffed mean?
I just remembered this photo and brought it up to show you "the best pic of all pics", sunset :) My kids took me on a four day back packing trip up in Yosemite (they didn't quite kill me, just close :)) and I took this pic of them at end of day three, 11,000ft high elevation, THAT almost killed me, and we took our packs off, made camp, sun going down and I took this shot. Thank you..I think..what does biffed mean? You're welcome. To biff something means to strike it down or take it out.
