Gorgeous!
Holy Moly! Beautiful, Steve,,thanks for sharing! Ok...Steve..question...how would these birds survive in the wilds of central California? Just asking, not pointedly trying to intimidate. Curious, just so curious

There are over 30 that come in at any one time, Mare as long as they can find food im sure they would survive

Very cool photos I love this.
Mare, they probabl6y would survive in your climate. I think that you would have to think about how an intoduced colony of cockatoos may impact the native wildlife. Other people might try to exterminate them for this reason.
You're right, Lori. I still dream of having a flock to hang out with Amigo but, honestly,, #1..the environment couldn't handle it, it would start looking like a desert within a few years and #2..the butt-head would probably chase them all away! :)
It must be absolutely breathtaking to have those guys around, Steve. They're so very beautiful! Especially when they arrive naturally :th_biggrin:

I get cardinals, finches, and hummingbirds visiting my yard. They're really pretty. I guess we always want the exotic though. Kind of like the straight hair, curly hair thing. I have a cabinet on by back porch and I leave it cracked open because the finches raise a couple of families in there every year.
