So today was shower day. Normally I will roll the cages outside and wash them down and then when that is done the birds get a spray. They really enjoy this. Today I decided to just shower them in the bathroom. Lilliput didn't mind so much, but Clover...... He didn't like this one bit. He tolerated it and everything but when he got back to his cage he just climbed up and gave me such a dirty look with his pinning eyes. I tried making it up to him. Want a nut? Grab and fling. Want a seed? Grab and fling. Want some melon? Grab and fling. I think what he really wanted was just to bite me. Finally he let me off the hook when I offered one of his favorites....a piece of tortilla chip. I still think he's mad at me though.

heh Lori.. so it seems the lesson is to be sure and at least have a bag of tortilla chips handy each time you take Clover for a drench in the bathroom ;)

Thank you so much for the giggle!! Poor Clover! Mommy was very mean and needed to know how Clover felt about it.

Hope he doesn't hold a grudge too long!! ;)

Clover is always up for a tortilla chip even if he is mad at you.
Kendra, you are right. On top of what Mare said about being moody, they also can hold quite a grudge.
I don't remember the amazon and the lory that my mom had being like that. I never got one bite from either of them, ever, and they always seemed to be happy go lucky. Well, the amazon hated my sister but she would tease her and make her growl.
