Louie my lorry was not acting right after I got his beak groomed [I thought he was unhappy about getting it done]. but I noticed he was sleeping and sneezing a lot [and not his hyper happy self]. I tried this new vet and found out that . When he got his beak groomed the dust [became almost like cement and sealed one of his nares]. So he was developing a lower respitory infection. Hes been on meds for a week and is back to his normal self:th_chickendance:So I just wanted to give a heads up . If you get your birds beak done [make sure you wipe it off:th_biggrin:]

Hey Terri, I'm glad to hear that Louie is feeling better. Thanks for the warning about beak dust :)

This is a big problem when vets use dremel tools.. Or high speed rotary tools to file or trim.. But lots of vets do it now.. It's faster than a file... :)

Awwe, poor baby. I'm glad that you caught the problem in time and he's on the mend.

I'm so glad Louie is ok. It upsets me that they have to use Dremels. I worry about them getting hot on the beak when they are trimming.
