Over the last few weeks, Josie has been giving me a terrible time getting her out of her cage. She bit the snot out of me last week....didn't break the skin but left some serious bruises on my hand. So, the other day, just for the heck of it, Ben opened her cage and told her, 'come on, let's go see where mommy is.' And just jumped right on his arm and that was that. He brought her into the other room where I was and the. She couldn't get to me fast enough. Once she was with me, no one else could touch her. Now, Ben takes her out no problem but she doesn't want to stay with him, she wants me. Anyone have any thoughts as to why she is acting like this?

Im noticing with my flock . This extended light were having is making them DEVILS [even if its not hormonal ] .I think its something to do with the season change. I would take a step back with her [and let her miss you a little]. Don't seem so interested in getting her out.

For many birds its the mateing cycle time of year. For some breeding sets the hormones off in the fall for many its in the spring with the longer days.Your bird is likely going thru the confusion of raging hormones.Particularly if you are the main caregiver, the one who feeds and spends the majority of time with.Your bird would be hyper bonded to you if it is the natural cycle.Or it could be something completely differant.....but I would bet its the later. If you ignore her and dont be overanxious to let her out, watch her from out of her sight to see if she is hanging on the side of the cage trying to find a way to get out to you...this would be an added indication of the season.
