One year ago today, I lost the most amazing budgie I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I lost the bird who shaped me into who I am today. I lost my best friend. One year ago today, I lost my beautiful Weasley.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. I long to feel those soft blue feathers rub against my face as she played in my hair. How I'd love to hear your beautiful chirps in person again. Sometimes she shows up so vividly in my dreams, that when I wake up I think she is still here. Although, after a few seconds of pleasure, I snap back to reality.

I have a beautiful picture of her framed on my dresser. It has some of her feathers in the frame with it. It makes me smile every time I see it.

I've been told that I talk way too much about a bird who is gone, but I can't help it. I can't help but share the stories I have of her. When I talk about her, it makes me happy. So very happy. I love talking about my beautiful little budgie. And you know what? She deserves to be talked about, because she was fantastic!!! The impact that bird had on my life is incredible!

Weasley, I still love and think about you. Every. Single. Day. You still continue to make me happy. Thank you, sweetie. :th_heart:

I miss you.

Maddy, never~~I say never feel bad or feel you should apologize for reminiscing about your Darling Wesley!! And she watches over you and her flock she left here for you to take care of. :th_hug8:

When we talk about and share good feelings and moments about someone we have lost and love so much, we give honor to their soul and presence that still remains in our hearts. You will never talk too much about sweet Wesley to us here. Every one of us knows exactly how you feel. It may not be from losing a dear parrot, but each of us has lost some dear friend, furry, feathered, scaled, finned, human or possibly eight legged that still lives in our hearts and dreams. :th_heart: :)
