This is sunrise, from our porch, over Sea of Cortez
I can only attach one pic at a time :(
Early morning visitor :). This horse, we named her Lady, roamed the campos and came to visit at least, once a day

Very nice, makes me miss the west coast
A dove sitting on a whale bone in our yard

The pelicans would fly down the beach in mile long rows. They like to congregate, by the hundreds, at a point farther south.

Ok, looks like my computer might let me post more than one at a time, now :)
This is sunset from the beach. That's our house and yard.
2047
My daughter breaking open a rock oyster. At low tide, the rocky parts of the beach appear.

Katie brought her screw driver, hammer, lime and hot sauce to the beach that morning. She loves to eat them fresh from the shell :)

Living in Cali most of my life, the sun always SETS over the ocean, not rise! I remember when we first started traveling the Baja peninsula, how bizarre it was for me to see the sun RISE over the water! (On the Sea of Cortez side, anyway). That's what you would experience coming from the East coast, not California!
Wonderful photos, Mare :D

Awesome pics! So beautiful. It looks like you had a great time!!
Thanks! It was a very relaxed time :). (Until we hit the border crossing :th_eek: It's a three hour drive to the border THEN, it took over two hours of inching forward through the line and nowhere to go pee! It was the longest I've ever seen. If I took valiums, I think I might have had to resort to those! :)

WOW !! what a nice trip :)
I just re-looked at what I put up and some of the shots that I was calling morning, were actually evening, I could tell by the way the sun was hitting :). Baja is a magical place. Has anyone here ever been there?

Gorgeous photos Mare!! You can tell ya'll had a very good and relaxing time. I can see why you love going there.
I have never been to Baja California. The closest I've been was Otay Mesa a few times waiting for Jerry's truck to load. I have been down the west coast & seen the ocean out there from San Diego up to Oxnard, CA when he had loads he had to pick up and I have been to San Francisco for the same reasons. I have been to Sea Tac in Washington state. Got to eat at an ocean side restaurant out there. Plus I have been all over the east coast and seen the ocean from way up in Maine to way down to Miami & over the other side of FL to St Petersburg. And the Gulf of Mexico at St Joe, FL. all across the south and down in Galveston, TX. Being on an 18-wheeler for 5 yrs provided me a world of sites I will cherish forever!! :)
