Harlow says her name quite well,and seems to understand that its hers . But shes started calling herself Harla :) I say her name ,and now she corrects me each time with Harla :) Dave says I think thats what she wants to be called [I think so too :)]Does anyones bird call themselves di[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks] ([Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks])fferently than their name ?

Well my 12 year old human daughter renamed her self, why not a fid! Great name.

It sounds like she prefers Harla so why not?
I've been debating changing the spelling of my female Grey's name from Merlin to Merlynne so that people realize she's a girl.

I have heard of birds changing their own name. I think it is cool. She is GORGEOUS!:love_heart:

Terri I knew a blue and gold that if you called Cody he would say no it is koko... He wanted to be called by koko not Cody his original name. I am not sure how he went about changing it but he did so I think this is similar to what Harlow is doing.

Jt Ha,Ha thats funny [birds are too smart ] My friend says maybe Harlow knows shes a girl and wants the more feminine version :)
