My husband is not super comfortable with picking up my birds as he has gotten some pretty good bites from Quincy over the years. But Savannah is our sweet girl. But even so, it's not easy for him to trust her, let alone her trust him.

For the last couple of months, Savannah, has been lifting her claw when Brad passes her in the store. He has bravely offered his arm, but she never accepted to hop on. Well yesterday, she did just that. Brad can get her on a perch to move her when necessary, but the fact she hopped on his arm for the first time is a huge step in their relationship! I am proud of them both! ;)

Yes, he is still nervous, but since that day, he has been a little more loving to Savannah. It is cute to watch! :)

I bet this has made him really happy? Hopefully, the bond will now grow between them :) How is Coqui with him?

It did. He was very proud of himself and Savannah as he should be. I am hoping this will bring them closer together, too! He does ok, but keeps his distance. Especially after she bit his mom. But he talks to her and praises her for doing good things. :)

Maybe Coqui will come round to him like Savannah is now doing :)

He does ok, but keeps his distance. Especially after she bit his mom.You can easily see this by how far he's keeping her away from his body with his extended arm ;)

But he talks to her and praises her for doing good things. :)That's very nice :)

Very nice of Savannah! Your hubby does look a bit apprehensive, but pleased all in one. :)

"He does ok, but keeps his distance. Especially after she bit his mom." - I actually was referring to Coqui in this statement. I wasn't being very specific with my reply to Wendy. Sorry!

"But he talks to her and praises her for doing good things." - Again, I was referring to Coqui here. :)

Brad is the most comfortable around Savannah, but still has his hesitations, just from past experience. But this is a sign we are making progress!

Yes, he is a bit apprehensive as he has had a past history of being bit my Quincy! But Savannah is who he is most comfortable with. Progress in either case!

That's great! I see a budding relationship there. I think so! :th_wink:

That is super! :) Thanks Maddy!
