Ever had this happen to you? Your relationship with your bird is great [then something happens and theyre upset with you]. Owen my Rb2 got upset with me and kept flying away every time I was near him . I couldn't catch him [cause hes flighted]. Which was awful ,I had to limit his time out [when someone else was home to get him]. We have such a cute relationship with him. Hes able to fly all over the place while im doing things and is so well behaved. All I can think of that happened is I really soaked him down one time [he doesn't care for baths] and he was mad. Its been 2 weeks and hes starting to act normal with me again. Heartbreaking to think you can lose your birds love so easily .

Sorry to hear this Terri. I am glad he is coming round again! They can be mad at you for the strangest of things :(

Wendy hes good :) [things are back to normal] . I think he was mad at the spray down I had given him. I had a experience one time with my Hawk head Charlotte [where she was upset with me] . I had accidently pinched her to in the door [and she kept flying away] . I did the same thing with Owen as I did with her and it worked [thank God :))

Oh good :) When I go away for a few days and leave my Son looking after Codie, he normally ignores me for the first 24 hours of being home :(

Terri I do know what you mean. And with Ruby jewel it was for the same reason! She hates showers and my using the sprayer. I spray all my others with the pump sprayer and they love it. Not Miss Ruby Jewel, nope she was mad at me for days and wouldn't come out to play for a couple of days, then she finally decided she was not getting anywhere with that idea and was back to normal.

She wants to get in the kitchen sink and she is just too darn big for that. I think that is where her breeder bathed her when she was small and she wants to go back to that baby showering and dunking. I tried the bathtub and with the shower, but she started out fine & then jumped off my arm and now she thinks the tub will kill her. :(

Glad to hear Owen is back to loving you. It does break your heart when they all of a sudden decide you are evil and they want to more to do with you~~for a little while.

That is what makes our fids so unique. You never know what will be next on their agenda. One minute they love you so much, the next moment they do not even look at you. :th_hmmm:

I'm glad to hear Owen has forgiven you! :). It's no fun when you are on their list of people to not like!
