Just a quick explanation as to how I managed to become the proud mummy to 5 nearly 6 African greys :)
If always wanted a African grey , like most if I'm to be honest for their talking ability :(
So one day I seen one in a local pet shop she was 15 wks old,
Each time I went by the pet shop I just had to go inside to see of she was still there
I bought her home at 18 wks , this was Echo
Though from day one I knew she was never just to sit in a cage just to amuse me and look at :/
4 wks after this I took a uncle to another petstore , he was wanting some budgies for his aviaries
And inside the store was a 18 wk old female grey with no tail feathers and no wings :(
I just could t leave her there, so Peach made number 2 :)
Then came Dave he belonged to a family member who wasn't caring for him correctly (I was and still ain't no expert ) but bein locked in a cage with a padlock with no toys or a decent meal to me was cruel :(
So I just had to make his life better :)
Casper was number 4 he belonged then to my terminally ill mum so it made sence he came here whilst the decision was stil hers to make
Coco was number 5 and a grey I has collected for a small charity , I was meant to be fostering her
But we felt because of her cage aggression and baldness no one would love her like we had started to
So there's my flock story in short :)
Plus we then added a baby green cheek this time last year , we named him Kevin , who since DNA female :)
But we still say him and good boy etc , I'm sure he doesn't mind :)
And come may we are adding grey number 6 Treacle
DNA tested female and one iv chosen from a couple wks old :)
She will be my last so just wanted to experience the whole baby thing x x
