My GW, Rosie is generally a very shy girl. She becomes very quiet whenever someone she doesn't know well is in the house.
She loves my mom, but she always views her suspiciously. My moms appearance can either signify one of three things: the family going away, me going out for lunch/shopping or just a visit. Once Rosie is sure it is just a visit, she happily chats away and tries to get my mom to give her a human taxi ride to me. :) Rosie also enjoys my mother in law a bit. Since my mother in law is nervous around birds, she will talk to Rosie from afar, but has no interest in getting close or touching her. Which I think Rosie appreciates and has now gotten to the point where she almost begs my mil to pick her up. Which is pretty comical to me, since I know that will never happen.
However, she knows both women very well and is very comfortable with them.
My daughters best friend is just the sweetest, quiet girl and an animal person. She is interested in Rosie, but never gets in her face. Rosie has watched her but never paid her much attention. So when the girl was over recently, Rosie was head over heels for her. I have never seen her so gaga over anyone besides me. She was cooing, saying hello, trying to put her face near the girl and just being very charismatic (for Rosie). Just too sweet and the girl was glowing and talking about it for days. Nothing quite like being the love interest of a big goofy Mac! :)
Which leads me to wonder if your bird has a favorite visitor?

Oh yes, Codie has a favourite visitor :) My Mum is his absolute favourite person. She comes to visit me twice a year and stays for a week each time. The minute she walks in the door, my bond with him goes straight out of the window :( I would actually go so far as to say he is obsessed with her. He just sits with her the whole time, if she goes upstairs, he actually goes to the bottom of the stairs and cries. I am certain Codie would go home with my Mum without giving me a second thought. :th_LOL:
Wellll...? Good question. My husband and son are sitting here, with me, and I asked them who they thought was Amigo's favorite of anyone that comes by. My son says, "Are you asking who his favorite person is to draw blood from?"
Rosie sounds like a sweetheart! :)

Mare - thank you for the laugh!
Wendy - I can just picture Codie crying at the bottom of the stairs. That is very sweet and I'm sure it makes your mom feel great!!

Peatree really likes my best friend. She won't let her hold her, but she loves to talk and dance when Quinn talks to her!

Frankie really enjoys my brother. David will go over and play with the toys hanging above Frankie's cage and gets Frankie going. It's really funny. You'd think that since Frankie doesn't like to share he'd really get upset by this. But he doesn't. He enjoys my brother's teasing.

I don't have folks over, rather I should say no one wants to come to my noisy madhouse I call home. :th_pinklol2:
My flock has very rarely seen anyone other than me and "The Other" better known as my hubby Jerry! When my son Jory was down none wanted anything to do with him except Peta. She would go to anyone and liked him from the start. Roscoe did not like 'The Intruder" at all and was very pleased when Jory left.
It's not really that no one wants to come over. It is I live so far away from any friends and the only real animal/bird friends I have don't even live in the same state as I do. I have almost no family left to come visit me. So my flock is being deprived of human contact other than their favorite person~~Me.

I have one friend that all of my pets just adore. Her name is Carla and I don't know what it is about her. She's like Dr. Doolittle or something. I get kind of embarrassed because when she comes over and sits on the couch, the dogs will be at her feet vying for attention, the cat will be all over her, Clover my alex will hang from his cage door trying to get as close to her as he can and saying What Ya' doing?, What Ya' doing? and eventually come over on the back of the couch. Kilo my goffins 2 will climb down and come walking across the floor and climb up her pant leg and say Hello in this accent that sounds like an old British lady. Even the oranda goldfish will be wiggling in the corner of the tank trying to see her. She just says "It's ok, animals always do this". It's actually amazing to watch. They just love her
i'm really introverted and don't much like having people over. therefore, it rarely happens except for my nephews who come to clean for me 2 times a month. beaker will chase them around, but only to try to pluck hair from their beards.

i think jasper prefers people who visit most often, and changes preferences. for example, Darren who hasn't been for a few weeks now. jasper knew the sound of his car and would look out the window and say 'darren's here' sometimes before he had pulled up, but because he hasn't been recently she hasn't mentioned him.
now she's getting to know maria a bit more, it's maria this and maria that, and you just have to laugh. on sunday jasper announced she wanted to go to marias and have a cup of tea :th_LOL:

Josie's favorite visitor is by far Ben's son rob. She calls for him and gets all fluffed up when he goes over to talk to her. Strangely, rob has and identical twin who Josie dislikes very much. She call tell who is who as soon as they come in the house. When tony cones over alone she won't talk to him other than to say he is bad.

Anita - that is so funny! I wonder what poor Tony did to offend her and make him "bad". ;)
Do Tony and Rob still look identical? Meaning hair, etc? We have identical twin nephews and I could not tell them apart until one started wearing his hair longer than the other. I find it very cool that Josie can tell the difference!

They still look the same because they are in the army and the hair style is required and they are both physically fit because of the training they go through there. They only way to tell who is who by looking at them is that tony had stitches through his eyebrow as a child so you can just barely see the scare.

That is very cool. Josie can just tell/sense the different "vibe" from the guys. Smart girl, Miss Josie!! :)
