Well now, I have decided to start a birdie blog for 'The Diva', Miss Leyla Belle. This will be a blog from her as if she were writing it. I had one on another forum once and it was really fun to do. Feel free to comment by talking to her since all the posts will be from her. So I will now give the keyboard to my feisty redheaded Ekkie Girl, Miss Leyla Belle La Ru Longhorn!

Howdy! How ya'll doin'?

Well, ahh guess ahh should introduce mahh self. I am Miss Leyla Belle La Rue Longhorn, ahmm just a little ol' sweeet southern gal...parrot that is. Ahmm told that mahh official title is an Eclectus parrot, whatever. I just know that ahmm just the purtiest little gal what evahh flew in ta' this li'l ol' place! OK, I am a bit more educated and I can talk with a little less southern syrupy accent when I want to.

I was born someplace in the tip of Texas and I was adopted by my Mom almost two years ago. She took me to her home someplace far away from my old home, but she says we still live in Texas.

I'm still trying to figure that cat out. She's alright ahh guess, but she just doesn't understand me. She just doesn't realize a southern gal like me has special needs. Like, ahh needs a fancier place, a nicer place to powder mahh beak and only the finest cuisine will do for me, Miss Leyla Belle! Ahh should have at least 3 parrots at my beck & call. Instead, I have to feed mahh little ol' self and I could break a nail. Oh, what is a sweet southern gal like me ta' do?!!

Well, ahh gotta' go. Mahh Mama is ready ta feed us an go back ta bed. She says she has ta go back ta work tonight an make us our bird food money~~Whatever~~

It sounds like you have a wonderful home there in Texas and your Mummy sounds pretty cool :th_wink: Why would you want to live in a fancier place when you have such a lovely life where you are?

Its such a shame you have to feed yourself and run the risk of breaking a nail :th_loltears: (Shame on your birdy Mummy) :th_hehe: I am sure the reason she has to work so hard and leave you alone sometimes is to provide you with the life of luxury that you deserve :th_wink: Do you have other birdy friends to keep you company?

You have beautiful long eyelashes Miss Leyla Belle :th_biggrin: I can see by your picture that you are very fussy about your appearance :) It looks like you spend lots of time preening and messing with your birdy feathers. How long does it take you to get that lovely bow in your pretty little feathered head?

Well Howdy There ta all ya'll out here in little old parrot land. Why I do declare ya'll are to kind! Ah will give all ya'll a proper shout when my Mama let's me out again. She don't take to kindly ta me sneaking out ta play with her computer. An she has those darn poodles for watch dawgs. :(

Mahh Mama said I had ta give each one of ya'll a proper thank you if I wanted ta keep up mahh bloggin'. So I figured ahh better start at the top an work my little talons to the last oen lest I forget one of ya'll sweeet folks.

Howdy Miss Wendy, mahh Mama says you are a super nice lady an she likes you very well. Thank ya an yes unfortunately I am NOT an only bird for mahh Mama. She has these annoying macaw boys she tells me are mahh brothers. ~~Whatever~~ I just can't see resemblance between me an them hoodlums! Why mahh Mama ever wanted those two I'll neva know. Hmmph!! Why they call me all kinds a names an don't give me no privacy when ahhm trying ta bathe nor nothing. One day ahhm gonna let them two out of the house & be done with mahh brothers!!

Ahhh have a sista' what lives beside me an she & I fuss an argue sometimes, but Ahh does like her a lot. Mahh Mama says she is a macaw, but she don't treat me like my brothers do. An mahh Mama says that little funny lookin bird what she keeps over ta the other end of the house is my maybe sista. She don't know from what it is 'cept that she calls it a pionus or sumthing liker that. ~~Whatever~~ I don't talk ta that one none.

Yes Mam' I doe spend a lot of time what keeping mahh feathers in top shape. After all, they are what makes me a Diva!! Ahh don't wear mahh bow lessin ahh goes out to a party or something special like mahh photoshoot. Ahh keeps it hidden away so's them macaw boys don't get no ideas what ta tear it up!

Ahh hear you done went an won that there contest where the birdies get boocoodles of fun things ta play with an stuff they like. Mahh Mama said you worked really hard ta get that for your birds. Ahh wished mahh Mama had gotten that for me. Ahh could shore use a make over in mahh cage, but mahh Mama told me she couldn't try an it wasn't cause she didn't love me enough ~~Whatever~~ Ahh hopes your birds love you bunches when they get their goodies.

Ahh didn't get to do nuthing fun yesterday. Mahh Mama was too busy getting the room mahh brothers will be staying in fixed up an ready. They will still be able ta see me, but at least they will be farther away an I can get some privacy for once! Mahh Mama ain't got it done yet, but she promised me she would by next week. Ahh hopes so so's I don't have ta listen to those boys callin' me names an such.

Howdy Miss Wendy, Ahh guess that little Sierra will be alright when she gets ta know me as the sweeet southern girl I can be. :th_wink: She just don't want ta know anybody but Mahh Mama so far an I think she is 'stuck up'! Maybe she is jealous of me, ahh am the purttiest gal what hit mahh Mama's house down here. Maybe I will show her how to look purtty one day. :)

Mahh Mama said my other sista Ruby Jewel is fix'n ta make her birdie blog an I gave her some tips on what ta say and what not ta. She said she could figure it all out by herself ~~Whatever~~ I guess I will go visit her sometimes over ta her blog. She's alright most the time. Yes, Miss Leyla Belle, I have a beautiful Yellow Crowned Amazon called Codie. He is a Boy, although when I first got him, I was told he was a Girl :th_LOL:I also have 2 budgies called harry and Sally. Codie ignores them. I think he likes to pretend they are not there :th_hehe:
