How do your birds like the bathe?

Peatree will dunk herself in her water dish and shake around. Bella does the same. Jester likes to be misted, and in the summer he likes to be sprayed with the hose. :th_biggrin:

Codie is terrified of the shower, so I have to spritz him which he loves :)

I need to get a shower perch so I can take Jester in the shower. If I put him up on the shower curtain rod, he goes CRAZY and tries to rip up the curtain. :(

Codie is scared of his own shadow sometimes. He is very timid at times :(

Sassy lets us know when she is ready for a bath, she starts diving into her water bowl! This is when I pull out the spray bottle to finish the job :). Here is Amigo's bath, he's getting sprayed with the hose! Little Chip is afraid of the spray from a water bottle so he doesn't get wet very often!

I mist them with this super sprayer. A couple of them dunk themselves in their water dish {who don't like to be sprayed}

I do the same with mine as Terri. I have one of those pump up sprayers that I add very warm water to. Roscoe & Angel love it and will act like silly fools when I get it out & spray them. They do like the shower, but it is just easier for me to use the sprayer and with cement floors it is certainly not going to hurt anything.

Leyla Belle loves it just as much and she will spread her wings and look like she is dancing on the perch when I mist her.

Miss Ruby Jewel is my holdout and hates the sprayer and hates the shower! :( I've never seen a girl hate bathing as much as she does. She does want to get in my kitchen sink sometimes when she is out on her play perch and hears water running in it. She is way too big to fit and we end up getting everything wet when I let her get in there. When I find a tub with low sides and large enough for a Green Wing to fit comfortably in I will try it on the floor of her enclosure. I tried the bathtub one day and she liked it for a few seconds, then she got scared and hasn't wanted to go in the bathroom since.

Sierra does not like to be sprayed and she doesn't to bath either. I do spray her gently and she is getting better at it. She is starting to act a little silly and she certainly flares that little tail at me in displeasure over her baths. I suspect she was never bathed before coming to my house.

The budgies bath in their water bowls, but I spray them as well. Some like the spray and some just sit through it as if they are being tortured.

Codie looks on being showered as torture too :( He loves to be spritzed though and would stand there all day letting me do this :)

Rosie showers with me. On a daily basis, unless I am pressed for time (her whole blow dry process takes about 30 min). On the days I leave her out, she is very indignant. She makes sure to let us all know how outraged she is at being left out.

I once took four birds in the shower with me. Yes, FOUR, all at once! Peatree, Bellatrix, Weasley (RIP), and Hermione (RIP). It was a madhouse! :th_hehe: Bella and Mione were not enjoying it! Instead, they were tormenting Peatree, and trying to pull her tail. Peatree and Weasley (besides being teased) loved it though. (:
