I have noticed my fids usually all sleep in the same place every night. Luca picked a cuttle bone holder of all things. Daisy and Chipper usually sleep on their swings. They all put themselves to sleep or roosting about 6:30 pm regularly. Got me wondering if others have noticed this with your birds. 1993

Lucy, Amber, and Frankie all have their spots where they sleep. Amber's is in her sleepy hut, Frankie's is on the perch in the front left corner of his cage, and Lucy's is in the back left corner of her cage. All are at the top of their cages. The tiels and budgies are cage free so I don't know where they sleep as I don't want to disturb them.

Harry and Sally snuggle up together on top of their snuggle hut at around 7pm.

I would have cage free birds too if I did not have a cat. Deb do you put them in a cage when you leave home?

Dianne -- They are in a bedroom we've converted for them. Our house has 3 bedrooms but only 2 are useable for humans. lol. The tiels have cages in their room that are kept open so they have some sense of security by being able to go in them. Their food bowls are located inside the cages for the most part. We leave them out when we leave the house too as we can just shut the door. We had gotten tired of chasing them at bedtime so we just started leaving them free. They are happier this way.

Peatree sleeps snuggled up against her fleecey and favorite toy. Jester sleeps on his green perch. Bella will usually sleep on her swing, or snuggled up next to Dobby. If Bella sleeps on the swing, Dobby will sleep up in the corner of the cage.

Funny thing happened today after I created this thread. I saw daisy sitting on her perch and head tucked in feathers napping. She was also singing the parakeet way as she slept. Made me think do parrots dream?

Oh, I would have loved to have witnessed that! I'd love to know if they dream too. Lucy will coo in her sleep sometimes.
