When the phone rings

Does your bird think it is for them? Josie says hello before it gets to my ear and continues to talk while we are on the phone. She will keep asking what and my mother (god love her) doesn't realize it's not me asking what so she keeps repeating herself. Other than leaving the house, I don't know how to stop this and it's driving Ben crazy! He works from home and his clients are staring to think he is a bit looney.

That's pretty funny! Could you move to a different room to talk? If Sassy is out of her cage when the phone rings, she will more than likely bite me when I pick it up! She likes your undivided attention, the little sweet pea :th_eek:

Josie says hello before it gets to my ear and continues to talk while we are on the phone.Salsa does exactly the same thing... as soon as he hears the phone ring, he starts yelling "hello.. hellooo.. HELLOOO!" and continues to say "hello" or "uh-oh" or "who's there" while I'm trying to speak with the party who called. Unfortunately I have no great solutions, other than to say that his ongoing participation in my phone conversations is far worse if I'm using speakerphone mode. But it's all very cute, if a bit irritating at times :)

Quincy used to say hello when we had a land line, but now that we have cells only, it doesn't phase him.

I don't have a house phone, just cells and I have to go outside to call or answer them on the rare occasions I get calls. (My house being totally all metal exterior blocks the cell connection and drops my calls inside) So, no I don't have any "Phone Hogs" in my home. :th_LOL:

Mare - Rosie does the same thing as Sassy, it makes me nuts. Although I have found if I put it on speaker she isn't as annoyed and I don't get as many bites. Sigh...

Mine dont say hello they make the sound of the phone.so I get have you got anogher phone you need to answer,and the two young ones are getting real bad with it.
