Macaw tails

Is it me or does my blue & gold macaw have a really long tail? It's 65cm long! It's longer than my green wings tail although she's a bigger bird & I thought her tail would be longer

Hmmm, not sure on this one. I must admit I have not measured any of my macaws tails. I don't have a B&G, but I do have two hybrids with one B&G parent. And I have a GW, so I guess I should measure their tails sometime and get back with you on that. They are not up for the day yet, so no measuring right now. :th_hehe:

I'd have to measure montes tail..but he has a super long tail too..its typical of all macaws...well...the larger ones..


Perhaps you b&g is about to dump its tail feathers..? Idk.
