They sure do! I had a Jenday Conure that flew into the window and broke her neck :( It was awful and something I will never forget :(

You knew this would make me cry Wendy~~Since you knew about me losing Peta this past week. :(

She was next to the smallest bird I have. She was free and she flew into mine & Jerry's heart that very first day I met her and she flew right to my finger and gave me a kiss there at her former owner's home. The lady said she knew I was the one Peta would be going home with after she did that.

The cage we bought for her as we drove through Abilene bringing her home stands silent now. She was special, never covered and she would be up all hours of the night when we turned on the light. She loved being close by and sharing our every moments in her home. Peta loved Jerry as much as me and her former Mom claimed she hated men.

My Peta will never leave my heart or my thoughts. She was truly a gem, just a small Pineapple Green Cheek Conure. But she meant as much to me as the rest of my flock from the smallest budgies to the largest macaw. :th_heart:

I'm so sorry to hear about Peta, De'Andrea :'( ...I, too, had no idea. There's no way to quantify or truly express the pain involved in losing one of our cherished fids. Each is a member of our family. Each is adored. None can be replaced. But they remain in our hearts, and our memories of them endure! Again, I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss :( *big hug*
