I ask this question, as one of my friends sees how much I do for Codie and she thinks I go over the top. I told her that I am quite conservative compared to some parrot owners I know :th_hehe:

So... What do you think? Are we all a neurotic bunch? :th_pinklol:

LOL. I think there is a certain type of person who can happily share their life with a parrot. I can only speak for myself, but I do tend to be on the neurotic side. ;)

Everyone has neuroses. The only difference is to what lengths they go to hide them.

Im forever getting told I do more for my birds than I do for anyone else.the big thing is why do you feed them so much and so often.3 timrs a day is what they need as far as im concerned. Yeah im neurotic when it comes to my birds.

I am! No denying it, here :). When we took our trip to Mexico, last Nov., the friend we had stay here cracked up at the list I made for him for the birds. He says, "are you serious?!" Damn right, I am! :th_biggrin:

:im-worried:Neurotic? Whose neurotic? :th_imok: :) I never have anyone over to my house~~Let me rephrase that~~No one is crazy enough to want to come over to my house.

My only bird friends live between 150 miles from me to clear across the US to clear across the world and around. My friends who actually live close enough to visit me think I'm crazy to just share my home with my birds as well as the rest of my critters. My good friend at work actually says that to others right in front of me. She tells them I am crazy for wanting to take care of them.

I probably don't go to the extremes some do with the care of my birds. But then again, not many people and definitely not non bird folks, are willing or able to add huge enclosures to their living room and move good furniture to the garage to accommodate those homes. Just to give their macaws the most roomiest castle she can comfortably fit in there so they don't feel closed in as much when she can't be with them. And lets not forget the large homemade play perches scattered about the house. :th_faint:

Neurotic? Damn Skippy I am!! :th_Budgie::gcc::th_PIONUS::th_ELECTUS::hybrid::th _gwm:

I had a parent ask me if I wanted to buy something from her child's fundraiser. It was Yankee Candles. I very politely informed her that I had birds and could not burn candles. She just looked confused. lol

People understand dogs but not birds. My birds eat better than the help as they constantly say OMG I can't afford to feed my kids that good! I do go over board. My husband says she doesn't even cook for me.
