I will not lie. I have been having a rough year this year. Taking on Boomer seemed like a task that was just to big to really deal with. I had a feeling he was having a hard time and when I went over to check on him I knew he had to come home with me. Between his cage falling apart and his massive feather barbering/plucking he was doing to his wings I was feeling even worse. A vary special member here got a hold of me and asked for my address, she wanted to send Boomer a small gift. It made me feel like I was not so alone and gave it to her. Just her asking made me feel good. :D

Then today the box gets here! To tell the truth it did not register who it may be form until I opened it and saw the note. Then I got to unwrap all the wonderful stuff inside!

I have had my doubts about being able to work with a grey who is as traumatized as he is. I still need to talk to his owner face to face to get full custody of him, but I really do not think it should be much of a issue. Boomer has a forever home here and I now feel like I can handle any issues that come up. Its amazing the feeling of knowing there are others out there who believe in you. It made my day, no year.

So this is a HUGE thank you to Kendra and Rosie! You have made me smile and Boomer will have lots to keep his beak busy!

How wonderful of Kendra and Rosie to send Boomer his special gift!! That is a very good reason to cry and be happy at the same time. :th_hug8: Kendra is a beautiful soul, you can see how much she loves Rosie through her posts and videos. She has a great heart to help a sweet Grey she will never get to meet except through your eyes on this forum. :big_hug:

In time I think with your gentle care Boomer will get much better. He just has to settle in and realize he has a good stable home with someone who loves him. And these new goodies are a sure fire way to start him on the path to recovery and happiness!! :)

Those are some very nice looking toys Boomer will have the pleasure of chewing. I bet he has loads of fun deciding what he wants to start on first. :th_LOL:

Shelly not sure where you live. I saw you said Boomer's cage is falling apart? I have a cage that is Mina's downstairs cage that she hates and will not use. I live in PA. If there was a way to get it to you you could have it.
