I know this has been asked before but I think your answer can change. If you could handle another bird and keep it healthy, safe and enriched what kind of bird would it be? Your all time dream bird.

Mine has always been a Meyers.

Steve is there a max number of birds for you? Are Macaws difficult to get where you live?

A silkie chicken or a toucan. :th_heart:

Or, if it has to be a parrot, a hanhs macaw.

Too hard to choose one.

Since I am dreaming it would be one of the following:
Blue Throat - so sweet (one won my heart when Rosie was still hand feeding at BP)
Male Ekkie - love their personality
and of course a HY - I love to cuddle and they are so darn cuddly and sweet natured. And smell so irresistible to me!!

But Rosie will not allow me to even look at another parrot, so it is just a dream.... Sigh...

Well I have my Dream Bird already when I brought my Ruby Jewel home. But of course I would love to add more macaws as they are my parrot of choice. I always knew I was a macaw person and if I had the room (which I could easily make room) and the funds I would definitely add a Hyacinth to my flock!! It is my Fantasy Bird since I will never be that rich to own one of those magnificent creatures. :th_hug8: I wouldn't mind owning a scarlet macaw either. :th_biggrin:

Terri I have all the faith in the world you will be the one to fulfill your dream~~'er dreams!! :th_LOL: I can just see the next thread in your future where you show us your major renovations to your home when you build that huge bird room or the yard sale when you move more furniture out. I should talk about moving furniture out. Heck there's only so many places two people need to sit, right?! Very nice choices you have on your dream list.:goodjob:

All good choices. Deb why a Raven? Ya mean Shelly? :D
They are amazing birds. They can make sounds as well as problem solve. Some are thinking they are smarter than parrots.

I'm with Shelly, on this one. A raven would be my dream bird, also. I often watch them around the property and even in the supermarket parking lots. They are very intelligent, social birds, within their flocks and they have always accepted Amigo being in their territory. When I first started letting him free in the mornings, there was one raven that would come perch by him on a limb in one of the pines. He actually started to imitate her/his gluck, gluck sound. They were very curious about each other.
I could never keep one, though, unless I could have it be a free bird,,if that makes sense..

Ravens are also very beautiful. Our football team has a Raven as a mascot but I do not know where this bird lives.

As with De'Andrea, I already have my dream bird (i.e., Zaf). But I have to also say that Salsa is quite a dream bird, himself :). I wouldn't take on any additional birds unless I were certain that I could properly care for them.

You are absolutely correct Tony! I guess that is one thing Rosie and Jef can agree on. :)

Maybe they can bond over their unhappiness at me giving another bird my attention. ;)
