Hello Precisely Parrot members,
Here is a video that I made the 16th. of May 2013 during a general "out of the cage"-time
for my Umbrella Cockatoo Maxi and my Congo African Grey Alex.

They are in the livingroom and I sit at my couch. They fly to the toys hanging from the ceiling and also towards me (my shoulder or arm.)
Maxi loves to sit at the TV (out of view at this video) and I do not like that very much. I'm a bit afraid she will poop and make my TV dirty.
I think you might be curious how it is tho have "out of the cage time" for large birds that are fully flighted.
At the right you can see the cage with my Double Yellowheaded Amazon Beertje in it. She can't have out of the cage time together with Alex.
Alex will attack and tease her then. And Beertje also does not fly in my livingroom. She's almost 40, so that might be the reason.
She can fly very well outside though which I've experienced in June 2010 and that was a scarry experience,
because the former owners had told me she couldn't.
At this video you can also see that Alex feeds Maxi food from his crop and you can hear Alex talk.
Besides Alex you can hear my Jenday Conure Jopie make sounds. He's out of view in his aviary shared with Greencheek Conure Kiwi.
You hear Beertje make some sounds too. See my signature for pictures of Jopie, Kiwi and Beertje!
I hope you do enjoy watching this video. I look forward to receive your comments.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Rita
