I am De'Andrea, 58, married soon it will be 36 yrs in March to my 1st and only husband Jerry and I'm his 1st & only wife. We have one child our 35 yr old son, Jory and his wife Amanda (can't remember her age, but I think she will be 30 in May~~Shhh she doesn't like anyone to know). They have been married 5 yrs.

Jerry and I both work as Correctional Officers at a maximum security prison unit (TDCJ, Texas Dept of Criminal Justice). We have been there for 8 yrs, before that I was a Bar Manager for our local V.F.W. and the president of the Lady's Aux. there for 3 yrs. Jerry worked for an Oil Pipeline Company, he worked there for 20 yrs. After Jerry was laid off from the Pipeline Co. when they sold out, he began driving a truck over the road for 5 1/2 yrs. I rode with him for 5 of those years and got to go through every state in the lower 48. I have been to & through the cities many of you live in or close to. I have been through nearly ever major city in the Continental US. It was our retirement as we knew we could never afford to take a trip like that and see the US. I did enjoy getting to see the things I saw in books and in the movies.

I have gotten to see Alaska since my son & daughter-n-law live there. It is gorgeous and Jory wants us to move there one day. I really don't see us being able to do that and at our age it is less likely every day that goes by.

Everything Maddy said but I am a 42 year old geek. :D

I have two teens and I work out of my home as a stained glass artist. I am single and between the teens, the parrots and a herd of pack goat I will most likely stay that way!. LOL

I'm Kendra, I'm 41 (but really still about 12 at heart), I have a small from the house business. I have known my husband, Jef since 1996 (how is that even possible??? I am NOT that old!!), we have two children, a boy and girl, ages 11 and 9 respectively. Our close friends refer to us as the Fitz Farm, sometimes the Fitz Funny Farm. We have a busy, loud, crazy house where everyone is welcome. We also have 2 small squirrel sized dogs :) and Rosie our GW, who is very naughty and going through the beginning stages of her terrible twos at the moment.

I guess the best description would be a reseller. I find great deals on all kinds of items and then sell them online, Craigslist or if the weather is nice sometimes I do Flea Markets. I love to shop and bargain hunt, so it seemed like a good match. :)

I can't complain, it's fun. I have a couple of friends who like to shop but for themselves and we go together, so it isn't a chore. :) I used to buy pallets from a liquidation company and that was interesting. Lots of different things. Started to take up too much time and room, which irritated Jef, so I stopped doing those.

Terri I would be honored if you named your next male bird Jory. Jory~~maybe not so much~~:th_LOL: Nah, he wouldn't mind, he was always able to handle my 'in the early years' birds. He has a way with them, he just doesn't want any for his own. :(

Kendra my friend Marlene in Buffalo, NY does that too. Her hubby and her go to estate sales, garage sales, junk shops. Wherever they can find stuff they can sell on Ebay mostly. They find lots of great looking antique stuff which is what they look for the most. She used to be a dialysis nurse til she hurt herself at work tripping on some construction equipment that was in her way while caring for a patient. That ended her career of being on her feet all day. They love going out & hunting for the stuff I think more than the selling of it. :)
