Mines scrubbing water bowls and doing floors !! No matter that I keep up with them daily. Sundays are my big clean day . They still take forever:th_biggrin:. Its funny sometimes when I leave the room and come back . I see things way away from them [I swear they get out of their cages sometimes and have a party:th_hehe:

Although it would not take me nearly as long as you to clean cages, I would say the worst job is cleaning the grate and yes, cleaning the food bowls! I do try to do it each day though, so it does not build up too much :)

Giving medication to my amazon. She is like a child with no bones and her beak gets larger

My Budgies are fairly easy to take care of but I really do not like to get the little fluffy feathers off of the carpet. I guess that is because the vacuum cleaner is not my friend.

We have 16 cages going right now.I find the grates the worst. We run the stainless bowls thru a super hot cycle on the dishwasher...no soap...to sanatize. All the rest of the cages cycle thru handwashing.

I think I have 16 cages too!! I line mine with a stack of newspapers over the grates [and fold the one on top daily ] then the big clean on Sundays . Easier with the grates that way.

Keeping the floor clean is the WORST. I swear, I'll clean the floor and then five minutes later it will be covered in seed and feathers again. I also hate cleaning the cage grates. They can be pretty hard to get clean.

I cant say I have a worse job I enjoy all parts of having birds food bowls get cleaned 3 times a day. As for cages I have a high powered water gun (gerni) it takes no time at all to clean them

My worst is the complete cleanup of the cages/enclosures. All but the smallest of my cages/enclosures are too big to get through my door without being taken apart. So all of it is hand cleaned and even tho I have 15 birds, I only have 7 cages as all the budgies are in one large cage.

The floors in the macaw enclosures are the easiest to clean since they are the bare floor and I cover that with newspaper. They are easy to mop and vac, so I sometimes wished the smaller birds could live in the same kind of setup. The only time those floors are not so easy to clean is when Mister Smart-Butt (Roscoe) gets the devilish idea to climb down & snatch papers to tear up. He loves to do that soon after I clean the floors and leave bare gaps exposed. And then he makes sure to aim right at the bare spots so the floor is christened by his royal highness!!:th_hehe:

You can your sub zero, I do remember all about lorry poop . When I had 17 breeding pairs that was a nightmare to clean .
