Here's our now almost 2 year old, sun conure Starburst..man has he grown..

We have 6. The macaw went to a better to place, someone with less going on(glad for that poor bird :) ). So its still, Starburst, Rain, avra, Hendrick, Monte and Seminole..:)

I love Starburst's name as well! It fits a Sun Conure, that's for sure. Beautiful little thing, so serene looking in that photo.

They are so colorful, if I had room & the funds I'd have one of almost every specie of parrot available. There are a few I'd have to refrain from, but not many. :)

Starburst is adorable. I have a Sun who is 4 now. He is just the sweetest bird. You never have to wonder if he is going to bite because he just doesn't ..........unlike my little precious GCC. He is a pistol but we love him in spite of his attitude and it is a big one. LOL

Starburst IS a beautiful little guy! Is the difference between a sun conure and a GCC mainly color? Or is there also a size difference?

@mare there's a possible size difference and a big color difference..

But the big difference is their temperament. And the amount of noise they make.

Rain my cgc is quieter and more cuddly than starburst..more skiddish too

Starburst our sun..is loud..especially when he sees mama and she hasn't said hello.

Both are very affectionate. Starburst is a traitor though..he'll go to ANYBODY as long as they have food :)

Starburst is easily twice as big as Rain..but Rain is stunted from her horrible treatment before we got her...

Both CAN have attitudes..and every bird is unique..:)
