They get on most of the time :-) but I get scared when they bite another's feet or tail or beak clash then separate them but a few people have told me to just let them get on with it. But I worry about them hurting each other

Parrot Power...........:-)Yes, I can see why you worry! I think I would separate them too. They look quite relaxed with each other in that pic though! They must be having a good day :th_LOL:

Beautiful flock you have there. I think I would separate them too. Those beaks are too strong to mess with. I have a friend in England who had one bird bite off the top part of the beak on another bird. It happens so quick!

Beautiful birds! I am with everyone else. I would separate them, too! I have 2 macs now and I don't let them interact yet. But they are 10 and 20 years old and a little more set in there ways!

Great pics .I to would separate as I have seen first hand two eckkies going at it and one lost the top mandible and had to be sent to the rainbow bridge
Your birds ARE very beautiful Parrotlover83! I, like Terri, am also curious if you find your macaws an easy bird? I've never been exposed to one, have always heard they were, or can be, easier to be around than cockatoos but truly..is there such a thing as an easy bird? What do you think, Terri? I know you have issues with Pearl but are your macaws pretty easy birds?
Ok, take it back, my cockatiel, Chip, is an easy bird :)

I was going to say something about Chip. I know my budgies and tiels have to be the easiest to care for. lol

Your flock are simply gorgeous! It does amaze me you have all those macaws together and they look comfortable with each other.
My macaws are super easy to take care of and a joy to have in my life. I don't allow them to interact with each other. Mine are all young and jealous of each other at the moment. Roscoe & Angel are brothers, 5 months apart and when they first came home I could keep them together in the same enclosure and on the same play perch. Within 3 months time Roscoe the dominate one began biting Angel's feet and wanting him off the perches. Angel being handicapped could not move as fast, so I split them up. They are still beside each other in separate enclosures and don't like to be out of each other's sight, but Roscoe is too mean to his special brother for total bonding.
Roscoe & Ruby Jewel shoot poison darts with their eyes at each other right now. So I don't dare allow them to be on the same perch! If I get too close to the other one when heading past the play perch with one of them on my arm, I get a smart nip on that arm for the audacity of such behavior from me. LOL

I find the macaws a lot easier to live with than cockatoos, they are big softys who just want love & cuddles :-) macaws are great

Your flock is beautiful. I keep looking at Macaws. I have an almost 2 year old U2. I don't think she will ever except another parrot in the house. She is very much a Diva.

I keep my cockatoos away from my macaws. It works well as I get to have 4 snugly toos & 3 clown macaws

Ok, take it back, my cockatiel, Chip, is an easy bird :) Mare, I think its more when you understand them [like your toos ] that make them seem easier. I think its a lot to do also what you put into your birds . What I love about mine is the interaction they want to have with you. I can have them out for a long time [they keep themselves happily entertained]. It doesn't take much to keep them happy. As for Pearl [its the temper tantrums that are hard].
