Here are my first two videos that I would like to share with you all.
I hope you like them and I look forward to receive your responses!

Information to this photo-video:
My Umbrella Cockatoo Maxi (hatched on the 9th. of July 2009) & my African Grey parrot Alex (hatched on the 14th. of July 2009) are together since they were very young. Usually they get along very well together, even though they sometimes have their quarrels. Anyhow, they exhibit partner behavior. Maxi is a female and she always likes to preen the feathers of Alex. He does not always allow Maxi to preen his feathers, but when he does then Alex really enjoys Maxi's careful treatment of his feathers. Maxi regularly wants to be fed by Alex and Alex enjoys doing that because that gives him a dominant position compared to her. So often Alex responds at Maxi's request and feeds her regurgitated food from his crop. The photo-series for this video consists of 100 photographs, made ​​between the 1st. of February 2010 and the 5th. of August 2012).

Information to this video:
This is my African Grey parrot Alex. He talks very well. Because I live in the Netherlands Alex speaks Dutch. The only thing he says in English is "I love you". At this video Alex is practising by himself to say "Marco Borsato". Marco Borsato is the best Dutch singer in the Netherlands. Alex also says in this video "Give a kiss", several fruit-names and "I'm gonna get you" in Dutch. The full Dutch text Alex is saying in this video is:
"Marco Borsa. Geef maar kusje. Marco Borsa, Marco Borso, Marco Borsa, Marco Borsahhh. Lekker mandarijntje. Nog een tomaatje. Lekker appeltje. Appel. Wor(tel), wor(tel). Sinaasappel. Sinaasappel. Marco Borsa. Ik ga jou pakken.".
Translation:
"Marco Borsa. Give a little kiss. Marco Borsa, Marco Borso, Marco Borsa, Marco Borsahhh. Tasty mandarin. Another small tomato. Tasty small apple. Apple. Car(rot), car(rot). Orange. Orange. Marco Borsa. I'm gonna get you.".

The sound seems to have come back on both video's. It could have been a blip on youtube!

Those are fantastic video's. Alex talks very well, even though I could not understand what he was saying as he is speaking in dutch. Thank you for translating it though :)

I recognize the scream at the beginning as this sounds just like Codie :th_LOL:

Good to hear you saw both videos and the sound wasn't missing. Yes, Alex is an excellent talker. I like that very much.
I've clicked at the video-links again, but still both videos are without sound when I watch them then. So strange!

That is really strange Rita. I have just tried again and can see and hear both of them perfectly. Are they working for you when you access them via Youtube? Have you checked your speakers?

When I watch both videos directly via YouTube I do have sound.
I only don't get sound when I watch them by clicking at the YouTube-links in my thread to Precisely Parrots.
It's very strange. As long as I'm the only one having problem with the sound it doesn't matter though. I hope other PP-members can hear the sound, just like you could.

Rita I heard the sound on both videos fine. The picture one I had to go to you tube to watch but other then that, it was fine.

What lovely videos those were! I loved all the great photos of Alex and Maxi. So super sweet! What a special relationship they have.

Alex is a great talker. I really enjoyed hearing him talk in another language. Very cool! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful birds with a beautiful relationship, Rita :). And your photography is astonishing!

I've edited your original post because you had the BB code rather tangled so the tags were appearing within the message. The best way to create a message with customized fonts and colors is to type it all in regular black text first, then add in your video links, THEN do the formatting to the colors and the fonts you would like :)

And by the way, I do hear the sound on both of your videos. Sometime YouTube just glitches out.

It seems that embedding has been disabled for the first video at YouTube level. I have no idea why they may have done this. Perhaps because of its length.

And, what are "tags"?
See, here you recognize that I'm Dutch and English is a foreighn language. I just do not understand everything and every word.
I did type in the text in black first etc.... as you discribed/adviced.
Good that you've edited my original post, because now I see the "pictures" of both video's in it. I do like that much more. Thanks Plax!
Good to hear you and others had no problems with the sound of the videos at all. Only I have this problem.
Is it possible to add more video's in my post (I would like to create a video-list just likew you did!) or do I need to make another post every time again Plax?

Yes, Maxi and Alex have a wonderful relationship with eachoteher and we all have bonded very well.

Thank you for your compliment about my photography. Because of my birds I've restarted my interest in photography that had slipped away for several years.
I love to make photo's of my birds and other pets. It gives me so much joy. And it's also a joy for me to make photo's of parrots and cockatoos from other owners.
With your beautiful Hyacinth Macaw you do have the most amazing photomodel right under your hands.
I wish I could see him so I could take phots of him, but the distance makes that unpossible.

It's good to hesr you enjoyed both my video's. The one with the 100 pictures of Maxi & Alex "in love" and the one of Alex talking.
Yes indeed, Alex is a great talker. I'm so proud of his talking-skills.
I do have many video's of almos 15 minutes long of him, talking and talking and talking...............
But because it's all in Dutch (with ocasionally a "I love you" in between) I can't share them at Precisely Parrots. It's no use in Dutch.

Rita: BBCode tags are the instructions that determine which font, color, size, etc. will appear in your message. I think the reason they were displaying is because your message was edited too many times and it resulted in some of the tags becoming jumbled around.

You cannot place more than 10 embedded videos into a post. You can, however, place as many hyperlinks as you wish into a post until you reach the maximum character limit of 15,000. And unfortunately you will not be able to continually add to your original post. The edit time is limited, so you will have to place your later additions into reply posts or into new threads. I apologize for this but we must leave certain restrictions in place for some important reasons.

Alex is a very good talker.
The first video was a compilation of 100 photo's of Maxi & Alex "in love" with music added to it. So no talking in that one as Honesty wrote you allready.
Are you one of the persons making those wonderfull photo-compilations (with all there birds together!) for other members?

I was not able to view the first video either. The second one I could see fine. Alex is adorable talking in his native language. :) You do have very pretty birds and quite talented talkers.
