OK folks, it is time to get the New Year (2014) off to a great start with the January Photo Competition.:greet11:
The subject matter chosen by Amanda (Gemini84) for the January competition will be: ~~Baby Bird Pics~~This month we are looking for really cute, pudgy, feathered or not so feathered toddling clumsy Babies. This photo can be of one single member of your flock or the whole group if you have more than one of these adorable little munchkins. Now just because your bird is no longer a baby doesn't mean you can't dig around in your files and find one of your feathered darling lurking about when it was a wee widdle fabie.
This is what Amanda has to say about her subject choice for this month's competition: "I think it will be a cute month and we get to see all those cute, clumsy and prehistoric dinosaur looking pics!":exactly:
And since I know there are many members who didn't get their birds as babies. They got their darlings as full grown fabies and may not have toddler photos to enter. Therefore, for this competition I am going to fudge on the rules (that is bend them ever so slightly) and allow participants who don't have their own widdle fabie photos to enter a photo of a cute fabie that is not in their collection. You must have permission to use the photo from the original owner and you must give the owner recognition for the photo for it to be allowed in the competition. If anyone uses a photo that does not comply with this or if the original owner of the photo objects to its use, it will be disqualified. This is the best way I can help everyone be able to enter into the fun this month.
The prize for this month's competition will be donated by me, De'Andrea (Turquoise). It will be a $20.00 Gift Certificate to the My Safe Bird Store Site. If your feathered darling didn't get enough goodies for Christmas or doesn't think it got what it really wanted, this will give you a chance to make it up to them.:pinkgrin:
The rules are pretty simple:
1. Only one entry per member per competition.
2. Please include a little info and names about your bird(s) along with the photo. It will be used
to identify your entry on the poll along with your username. Also please give a little detail as to why you chose the subject(s) in your photo to best show us your Baby Bird Pic!
3. No copy write photos. Please make sure you are the owner of
the photo you enter.
4. Please, no photos that clearly endangers anyone or animal in any way that may be in your entry photo.
5. All photos to be entered in the competition need to be posted in this thread.
6. And the most important rule of all~~Lets Have Fun!!!~~
The competition starts today, the 2nd of January and runs til the 21st of January.
The 22nd of January a poll will be added by Blanca with all of the photos in order of their posted date.
The poll will run for one week and will close on the 29th of January, unless otherwise noted.
I will announce the winner of the competition and post the winning photo on the 31st of January.
The winner of this competition gets to choose the subject/theme for the February Photo Competition.
