well with the temp so high today we now have a thunder storm with hail, i was amazed watching the birds with the storm, as soon as the hail started the too's all headed for the thickest coverage, and all got as close to the trunk of the tree, to avoid the hail, birds are very smart arnt they.it been that hot even the king parrots have spent the day out on the bird stand ,wings drooped by sides, my birds have all been playing under the sprinkler most of the day.

I love looking at your pictures of the wild too's. They are simply gorgeous. This may be the only way I will get to see black too's.

Do the black and white birds usually stay away from eachother?

Beautiful birds!
Greats pics, Steve! Are the blacks larger than the whites? I love the white coloring under the tails of the blacks. Birds definitely are smart, it hailed here once when Amigo was out and he flew into some thick brush that he would normally not be seen in. He crawled in kind of deep and hunkered down. I tried to call him out, to bring him in but he wouldn't budge till it stopped.

Dianne, they dont stay away from each other but they dont mingle as such, the blacks are a bigger bird mare but in thickness not hight, the blacks are more stocky, i hope to be able to get some shots of the red and yellow tailed blacks for you guys.

This last batch of pics seem to be better pics of the blacks as they are closer. They are more beautiful close up! Thank you Steve for posting pics of them.
