After I lost Crowley I decided I wanted another cat so along came a special at the SPCA, pick your price. They had pawprints stuck on the wall to form a tree, you pull one and on the back is the price you pay from 0 to 30. I had gone in and looked around, thinking perhaps to take one of the adult black cats (I'm partial to black cats) but then went into one of the overflow rooms where this tuxedo started talking to me. Not a kitten yet I'd say he's not quite grown either. He's listed as one year old. I take him out and take him to a room but he's kind of scared and alternates between rubbing happily against me to crying at the door. Looking out the window really wigged him out. I put him back and left but he stayed on my mind. When I saw them announce the special on facebook I went down the following Saturday and he was still there but in iso with a kitty cold. Iso was pretty packed but they let me take him home and sent his antibiotics with. His price wound up being $15 and he had been out for a neuter the week before, had all his shots. Can't beat that. I decided to name him Quinn. He's fitting right in with his brothers, even Oliver is accepting him already. Oliver hated Crowley and never warmed up to him. Quinn is rather fearless, ready to charge upstairs into the upstairs of the house, doesn't care at all that there are four other cats and two big dogs, he's not afraid of them. One of his Christmas presents had to be a collar with a bell because he likes to sneak through the door. Gods forbid he should try that with the outside door. I think he needs to be chipped as well as wear an id tag. He's a sweet boy and so full of energy, he needs alot of playtime before bed to keep him from keeping me up all night getting into things. This was this morning with the toy, scratcher and catnip damage. He's the tuxedo in the front, you can sort of see the ring on his tail.
