They are gorgeous! I am so envious of you who live down there and get to see them in the wild. Must be a fascinating sight.

Debra i didn't even see them until i was right under them, i was collecting wood for toys, and heard a rustle above my head, look up grabbed phone and started clicking i have more pics they stayed the whole day, so i was able to take my camera out and take more, as i say this is paradise. i love being up before the sun comes up and just listening to all the different birds waking up and then again when they go to roost, then of a night i get all the night birds and owls ,they all have there own times the start to chatter.

Yes thats what made me not trust my eyes lol, I thought they were more WA birds than anything, although they're apparently getting close to endangered over there :( we only get the yellows, only time I see the reds are at wildlife sanctuarys and breeders houses, have never seen the whites other than in photos...

Steve I was just reading about Carnabys and Baudins black cockys (both white tails) and they're apparently very much endangered - I remember seeing something on Facebook a few months ago about some organisation wanting to know of any sightings so they can find out whats going on with them, was just thinking it might be worth you googling it and letting them know you've sighted some up your way since everything I've read says they're only in south west WA...i will do that there is a flock of 10 or 12 here and they dont seem to be in a hurry to leave, so ill gogle that tonight .

Beautiful Toos!! When I see photos of the blacks it always makes me wished I could own one. They are super expensive here in the states when you can find them. It is awesome for ya'll I bet to get to see so many parrots in the wild instead of just in cages. :)

De its one of the best parts for me living where i do, i just love all the wild life i have around me, and as soon as i find a Koala on the property ill post a pic of one, the kangaroo's/wallaby's come through first thing of morning and are normally to quick for me to get camera shot, the sound the birds all make at day break and dust is heaven to my ears.its funny how they all have there own times.
