Well it appears that rains crop is VERY full...she's a shredder (shreds magazines and whatever she can get ahold of) so I'm wondering if she's been shredding and eating things because she was starved before we got her. The odd part is that its that full and she's will eating...I'm thinking a should keep her a way from her food and stuff for a little while and see if it goes down...(not a long time obviously)

I'd have my vet check it out..but he's in Mexico on vacation until just before Christmas.....:banghead:

Hmm, well, being the forever optimist, that I am, Rain's crop is full of food and not paper. Hopefully, she'll regurgitate it if it is paper :(. Does your vet have an emergency vet on stand by?

That can not be good if it is paper, please keep us updated.

I massaged her crop area, after enticing her to eat a bunch of cuddle bone..it went down and hasn't gotten that big again...idk....seems odd...perhaps me being a worry wart parront...lol...her crop was bigger than starburst' crop...he's our sun conure...

Even though she seems fine now, maybe a vet check when the vets back for peace of mind is best :)

I'm glad she seems better, but a vet check when the vet gets back may be a good idea.

So... My vet suggested an "alternative" vet..in Houston..what I do for my flock :) rains fine...the feather damage from whatever the slime was on her when we got her, is worse than we thought. Her bald spot is getting bigger.. But no matter..I love my balding little cgc :)

MAXXED OUT!!!!!

She may just be eating a lot too, some of my birds really stuff themselves! It's not unusual for me to be able to visibly tell if one of our birds are full because their crops are a little bulgy. I'd just keep an eye on her when she plays with her toys, look to see if she is dropping the bits or eating them, if she's eating them I would remove those type of toys and only let her have them when she's out and being supervised. :)

She is pretty and looks so sweet. Hope things improve for her. She is lucky to have such a caring family.
