How to transport a mac who does not get along with your kids in a truck.

So the other day I needed to get the kids and Paris to the park just a couple miles away. As Paris does not like the kids I could not have her lose and with only a 3 seat truck there was NO room for her dog crate. We where not going on any major streets so I decided to give this a go. Not long ago I found out she likes to be in my jacket with me. She gets vary still and will fall asleep if I leave her long enough.

We even walked into Taco Bell like this. Its amazing how many people do not see 18" of tail sticking out below the jacket. It worked fine until I ordered and she suddenly stuck her head out and yelled "TACO" I payed and left the kids to pick up the order as I hurried out side before I was thrown out. A few min. later the manager came out with a taco in hand and said this was for the taco fan! He had made it with just a touch of cheese tomatoes and pico sauce. It seems he is a bird owner and loved that I had her with me. :D

I have no idea where the word Taco came from. She has never said it before. All I can think is she has had them in the past and the smell jogged a memory and the right word came out. Shocked me to say the least. I now know not to stick her in my jacket as a way of sneaking around!

Great story, thanks for sharing that! I couldn't imagine driving around in my car with my kid eating parrot, Amigo, tucked in my jacket, he'd be out causing injury in 2secs!!

I was so worried about that. We have a circle drive around the barn. When we first started out I drove vary slow with my kids ready to jump out at any min. Its great having farm kids. They get all excited about the prospect of jumping out of a moving truck. LOL After a couple turns around i know we where ok. They where almost disappointed.

The taco story is hysterical. Smart Paris, did she like her taco? I would be at that Taco Bell all the time since the manager was so sweet and went out of his way. It is so nice to hear about people being so nice.

As a typical parrot she eats about 25% of it while throwing the other 75% all over the place. I think I pulled a good chunk of it out of my shirt later. We eat out maybe 1 day a month. Most of the time if we are going to fast food, we hit In & Out Burgers. They have amazing min processed food and I can eat there Gluten Free, unlike Taco Bell . Demon LOVES In & Out, he gets one fry when we go. He wastes NONE of it. LOL Paris has not been there yet.:D
