Well it had been a wonderful day with little Mina. I caged her to go to a birthday party. My husband let her out when we got home ( not her favorite person ). Well till I got done with my daughter and got to Mina she full on attacked my feet. I picked her up to calm her but she was still slightly fluffy. My gut said your gonna get bit she's really pissed. My hear said oh I really missed her so I'm going to be stupid and keep holding her telling her how much I love her lol. BLAM bite right on the nose. Well I guess I should have listened to my gut and Mina. I put her in her cage and the 20 min later put her to bed. All in the day of having one of these beauties.

Ouch!! That must have hurt:( I go with my instinct now. If Codie is in a bad mood, then I steer clear of him until he calms down again.

Owweee! Was it dark when you got home as in, the sun was down? Amigo and Sassy need to be in their nighttime cages, curtains shut and lights out when that sun goes down. If they aren't boy do they get wound up! I don't think I would try dealing with them at that time, it seems like this is when they are their most hyper, loud, crazy selfs! I hope you weren't hurt too bad :(

Mare I did notice that she does get very sassy at night. We call it her gangster walk but she struts on the floor with crest down and wings slightly out from body. She runs really fast with her head down. After the starting tonight I played some games to focus her and then put her in her cage a little early. She does keep saying I love you quit a lot lol.

What a stinker, but like you said, "All in the day of having one of these beauties." :th_wink: Boy can a parrot hold a grudge too at times when they feel they have been wronged or in their birdie mind~~neglected for the day~~ Sounds like in her own way she is trying to make up with you. LOL

Most of mine won't even get on my arm to come out if they are in a really bad mood. On those times I tell them they are taking a time out til they get 'un-grumpy'. Sometimes it lasts all day, but it is their choice and I'm ok with their squawking about it like I am being mean to them. My Roscoe will sometimes play games with me in acting all sweetie and wanting to come out. By the time I get the lock off his enclosure door he has decided he does not want to get out & flashes his eyes while jabbering some kind of insults at me. Once I close the door & put the lock back on he is all sweetie again wanting out. I will give him one more chance & if he refuses, then it is Se la Vie and I walk away telling him how much I did not appreciate his tricking me!:th_LOL:
