Very nice chart! Grapes are safe for parrots as long as they are organic or washed very very well as they are known for being heavily sprayed with pesticides that are toxic. Random grape story: I actually never knew grapes were bad for dogs until about 4 years ago. My dog always loved grapes and I would share handfuls of them with him as I ate them figuring they were fruit and fruit is healthy, he even ate an entire box of raisins when my god son dumped the whole box out for the dog to eat when I wasn't looking. I realized he had eaten them all but didn't think much of it, then about a year later I started reading about how grapes are horrible for dogs and raisins, because they are just a concentrated grape, are even worse. I was reading all these horror stories of peoples dogs that went into complete renal failure after eating only a handful of raisins! I suddenly felt horrible for ever allowing him to eat them and he hasn't had any since. I do always wonder why he didn't have any adverse effects from eating them since he was given them the first year and a half of his life but he is five years old now and still kickin' :) I'm not complaining, I'm very glad he didn't get sick, just curious as to why some dogs are so sensitive to them and then dogs like mine have eaten tons and didn't so much as have a tummy ache.

Yes, someone has just posted to say that the Grapes were mainly aimed at Dogs and not Parrots.

I'm not sure if grape seeds are safe, I always get seedless so I never really looked into it.

My vet also said that grapes were fine but needed to be washed thoroughly first. This was way back when organic wasn't as available as it is today. Obviously organic would be better. I was surprised to see macadamia nuts. Although they are wicked expensive so I doubt most of us would feed it to them anyway. I know Hyacinth's eat those as one of their main foods. Interesting none the less!

I believe that's another one aimed at dogs, not birds :)

My avian vet said that 5 grapes is equal to 500 grapes for a parrot according to Dr Harrison. I had no idea. At the time I was feeding Mina grapes till they came out her ears. It was the only fruit she would eat. Now she only gets one every other day.
