I want to start off by saying, if this thread violates the rules in any way I apologize in advance and please feel free to remove it. I thought maybe because it wasn't straight up donating money this would be okay, they are selling these cool paintings and the proceeds just happen to go toward a bird in need. :)

This is Bob, I was informed of him through a group I belong to on fb. This lovely woman named Stephani works with him at Almost Home Parrot Foster Program in Mesa, AZ. Bob's neck is fused this way and has been since he was a baby. He is arthritic and mobility challenged. His vet bills are going to run around $400 at the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic of Arizona, in Gilber AZ. She is an artist and can paint any parrot on just about anything! She is making ornaments, wine glasses, coffee mugs, plates, canvas, vases etc and can add names, all for a donation to his vet care. It can be made directly to the vets office or to the rescue's paypal. She really is an amazing artist, I just love her work. :)

One of the boxes she painted, she said that she has been trying to get $20 per box but is able to work with people depending on what they can afford.

If you would like to order a painting you can contact her through the rescues website at this address [Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks] or through facebook, [Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

Don't forget, christmas is right around the corner, these would make fantastic gifts for the parronts on your list :)

Once again, I hope this was okay to post, I know we can post bird related things that are for sale but I also know fundraisers can be a no no on forums so I wasn't sure, I am very sorry if this is against the rules in any way. I also want to say that I have spoken directly with Stephani and she is aware that I am posting this here and using her photos but I am in no way affiliated with this rescue, just trying to get the word out since I thought it was a really awesome thing she is doing :)

I am friends with Stephanie on FB and noticed this thread the other day! It is a very good cause and obviously this will not be raising funds through the forum, which is fine.

I have sent Stephanie a message inviting her to join us. This will enable her to answer any questions that members may like to ask!

She certainly is an amazing artist :)

That's great wendy! I just love her artwork, I really wish I was able to donate right now but we may be taking in a bird soon that needs some serious vetting(may even require surgery) so I am trying to accumulate as much of my own funds as I can right now for him :( I figured if I can't afford to help monetarily right now I can at least help get the word out so I've been plastering bob's story every I can think of :)
