rough flight feathers

hey guys, i am letting coopers flight feathers grow out and teaching him to fly(he is doing great!!!!). but 2 or 3 of his flight feathers look kinda rough. i dont know why. he doesnt seem to have any problems flying. i will post a picture as soon as i can. what could be the cause of it for just 2 or 3 feathers though?

I know that my new B&G macaw holds onto one of her feathers like a security blanket and that has made a couple of feathers disheveled. It could be they are just rough from playing or doing something in his cage. A pic would help. :)
