Oh, that was beautiful! Having 2 pluckers I can totally see how the person only saw a beautiful bird. Thank you for posting this poem.

If I could have any opportunity with birds . I would have a place to take in [for a forever home] pluckers and retired breeders. I couldn't do mutilators though [heartbreaking ,I had one once and she died)

Same dream here, a large house with rescue birds and vol. caregivers.

That was great Wendy. Thank you so much for posting that. I had more then a few tears. I was crying the whole time I read it. But what a great ending. I just wish that was the case for all birds who need rescued.

The story created quite a waterfall down my face as well. I'm so thankful there are people like Julie and Deborah out there! I just wish there were enough of them :(

What a touching read. I would be willing to adopt a bird like that.
