It's almost Christmas time and.....

we were thinking about doing a Christmas card exchange and a Secret Santa. If you would like to participate in one or both, please PM me with your address and what you would like to participate in and I will compile a list and send out to everyone participating in each thing. The deadline is November 15th and I will send out the lists on the 16th. This will give plenty of time to get the cards/gifts to those of us overseas. I will draw names for both the recipient and the gifter to pair them up. We can then plan to open our gifts on a certain day and post what we got and who our Secret Santa was. Let me know what day you all would like to celebrate Christmas together!

For the Secret Santa one, there is a $30 limit. If you choose to go over, that is ok, but please spend at least $30 on your Secret Santa recipient. Ideas for this is to send a gift for the owner and toys/treats for their bird(s), just toys/treats for the bird(s), or just a gift for the recipient. Does not have to be bird related, just something from the heart.

Cards can be store bought, home made, bird related or not, serious, or fun. Whatever reflects you and your family. I know of one person I knew from Australia who puts glitter in her cards and says it's her Christmas snow!

This is a fun way to express our friendship with each other.

What's up with the participation on this? No one likes to get fun neat free things from someone you admire and enjoy visiting with on here? And cards are fun to get from everyone!! Especially if you add your flock to them. A great way to send your feathered kids around the world and show them off. And you don't need to know how to photoshop to make your own cards. All you need do is print out your favorite photos, cut them out & add them to a blank or pre-printed card. Add a little colored pen work around the photos and inside and you have a personal unique card you can be proud of.:th_hug8:

There are three members on this forum who are very adept at creating unique photos with photoshop and if you send them a pm I am certain they would be happy to make you a flock photo you can print out on your own cards of choice. These members can be found in the General Forum category under the Signature Thread. :th_biggrin:

Minamommy, if you click on Debra's name above her avatar on here it will show you several options. Where it says Private Mesages click on that and it will take you to your profile page and your personal messaging reply page. Just write your message, add a title in the upper small box with something like Christmas Cards Participation to let her know what the message is about and click on the Submit Message below your message box and it will send it to Debra.

If you are still unclear how to send a pm, don't worry. I'm sure Debra will see your post here and include you when she is up and about in the morning. Thank you so much for participating. The more we can get to join, the more fun it will be for everyone! :th_hug8:

We started having real problems with getting mail at our home address so started getting mail to our PO Box for the store.
