Last night I went around tucking in birds -- all but Lucy. Hubby comes out to put Lucy in her cage and Lucy refused to step up for him. This was a first. Jerry tried prying her feet off the bars, but she just wouldn't let go. Since Jerry was staying up and I was going to bed, I told him to just let her be for a few minutes. She'll get bored with the tv off and let you know when she's ready for bed. About 30 minutes later, he came in to check on her and she had put herself to bed! All he needed to do was close the door and cover her. Smart little cookie I have there.
When thinking back on Amigo first coming to us, he was a pill to get in his cage, (unless it was his idea,of course), but at night he always knew when to tuck himself in :)

That was so clever of her Deb. She knew when she was tired :)

Too cute!! Lucy sounds like she has your hubby (or is he hers?) wrapped around her widdle wing. :th_hehe:
These ekkie girls can be a stubborn lot can't they! I know all too well just how stubborn their scheming mind can be and it has to be their idea. :th_LOL:

Haha! I think it's going to be a battle of wills from now on as she did the same thing last night. Crazy girl!

It goes to show, having a schedule makes life a little easier because they do have a sense when bedtime is! :)

This is a fine example of not forcing your pet bird to do something you want it to do and let the bird make the decision. :th_heart:
