My husband has been traveling regularly for work since we've met. For the first time ever he invited me to go with him. Since it is to Vegas and I have never been I quickly said yes. :). It's just a long weekend for me but he will be there for a week.

We are now on the plane and I am feeling so guilty for leaving my zoo behind. My son seemed like he didn't care, but my daughter was not happy last night. She was actually furious with my husband for taking me away from home. ;). I guess she is used to him being away a lot, but not me.

Even worse, I feel horribly for leaving my Rosie girl home. The dogs will be fine, but she is so bonded to me. It seems like we just got home from our trip in the beginning of September.

My mother in law is there now and my mother is coming tonight to take care of everyone, so they are all in good hands. But this Mommy guilt is killing me! I'm hoping once we land it will ease up a bit...

I know you will worry while you are away. Try not to call home too much like I did. It is only natural for a Mom to worry. Enjoy your time away!:danceelmo:

Yes, Kendra enjoy your mini vacation. Your flock, 2 legged, 4 legged, feathered and not will just adore & lavish all their love for you in heaps when you get back.:th_hug8:

Homecomings are always a good reason to celebrate life & the joy of togetherness. Cant's have a homecoming if you never leave home~~Even if only for a weekend!! :th_biggrin:

I know exactly how you feel but it sounds like all the bases are covered! I use to be this sick neurotic person when I had to leave my birds :th_nervous1: They survived, unscathed, and I felt rejuvenated when I got home. I hope you enjoy your trip!

Kendra - Don't feel guilty. We all need time to get away. It helps with stress in life. Enjoy yourself. Everyone will be fine! :)

Thank you everyone. Ashley has been FaceTiming me since we got here so I feel less guilty. :). She actually was FaceTiming Jef and I when we were in a casino, leaving after lunch. We passed a machine a friend of mine wanted me to play and figured since it was a penny machine, why not? Neither of us is lucky, so we let her tell us which button we should push on the machine. In 5 minutes she turned $20 into $350. I know, horrible parenting, but she was having so much fun and then she saw the water show at the Bellagio with us. The only problem is she now thinks she should get a commission. :)
