Awesome Steve!!! It looks like a Tropical Paradise for sure!! I would NEVER move back to the city if I were you.:th_biggrin: I hate city life anyway, but if I had a gorgeous place like that to live in the middle of you couldn't drag my arse off to the city with a D-9 Cat!!!:th_hehe:

I have fruitless Mulberry trees here and I have had fruit bearing trees in the past on another place I owned. I am not a fan of the Mulberry fruit, don't like the funny whang ( that means taste for non Texan folks~LOL) it has. The fruit bearing trees I had in the early '80s attracted lots of butterflies, wasps, and all manners of insects. In the middle of hot summertime down here the fruit would begin to ferment. I had some really silly acting flies, wasp & butterflies doing 'break dancing' in my yard. :th_LOL: You could walk up to the butterflies & they would open & close their wings in slow motion like movements while twisting their heads slowly side to side. Totally drunk & wasted out of their minds on my "Mulberry wine"!!! :th_toofunny:

We have several "fruitless" mulberry trees in our yard, De', and they make wonderful shade in the summer. They do shed their leaves, starting soon, in the winter. Fruit trees are a different story, for sure! All earth's creatures love them!

coltfire

Me too on the mowing & looking like a dump Debra!!:th_LOL:

I don't think my place would rate as a servant's quarters on your property Steve. And I even live at a lake~~OK, a dry lake as it is now, but still I have lake property!!:th_shakehead: OK, this is not what most think about when someone says they live at a lake. Most of you are probably thinking~~Gated community~~mansions with pristine lawns and fancy gardeners tending all the pretty flowers~~No, I think that is Wendy's place~~This is just one of several fishing camps carved out of farmland around a mud hole of a lake since it hasn't rained enough to wet a good ant bed in 3 years! :th_rofl: Thank goodness I hate to fish or I'd die from boredom waiting for the lake to fill up again.

Your Mom's place is gorgeous Steve. I am equally jealous as I suspect a few others are here that you get to wake up to such beauty everyday. Noise be danged from the many Toos~~You have an awesome country to live in!!:th_biggrin:

When you mention "whipper sniper" is that what we call here in the states, 'weed eating?' If so, I have one of those cute kinds on wheels so I don't have to carry it around. But do you think I ever get out & make a hand trimming around hard to mow areas? Not on your life!! Hubby gets out there with his big gas powered weed eater & I supervise, when the mood strikes me!!

Debra

I hear you on the weed eating De'! I bought my hubby a battery powered one for Christmas last year. He loves it! Now I just tell him that we need to weed eat around something and he grabs his battery and goes and does it. It's the first one that I can actually lift and handle for any amount of time, but I don't dare touch it. :th_loltears:
