Hi Everyone!
I actually joined this forum a few days ago but have had lots going on and am just now getting a chance to post! My name is Blanca and I live in Vermont. I have a CAG named Quincy who I've had since he was 3 months old. He just turned 13 in March! He is a stinker, but a loveable little squirt. We love him!
I just adopted Sinbad yesterday! When they adopted her they thought she was a male until 9 years ago she layed an egg. We are going to name her Savannah and use Sinbad as well since she has been named that so long. So I will be referring to her as Savannah. She is a 19 year old Green Wing Macaw. We thought she was born June 1994 but found out yesterday it was actually June of 1993. The owner was reading the wrong date on the birth certificate. LOL! Oh, well what's a year difference any who. I actually visited her a week ago and waited a week to pick her up to get the house set up. Plus, we hd to pick her up 2 hours away. Picking her up went very well yesterday. From getting her in her crate, taking her to the vet and getting her in her new cage. She is adjusting well. She is eating well and is starting to explore her new big cage today. I think she is going to make a nice addition to our family.
I also have to children, Marcus Age 3 and Morgan Age 6. They both enjoy having birds in our home. I look forward to getting to know everyone on this new forum. It's nice to see people that I've talked to here from another Parrot Forum. Makes it a little more comfortable to hop right in and start posting!
