Purple Hy!

My guess is that the colors in that photo have been modified. I not only doubt that a purple mutation even exists in Hyacinths, but I seriously doubt there is a chance of turquoise skin existing on one of them. It's a beautiful picture, though :). We need to maintain a degree of skepticism, since PhotoShop and other graphical alteration programs are so prevalent these days ;)

Yes it is! Purple is my favorite color. It would be kind of wild to have a purple bird. LOL!

Personally speaking I prefer the normal blue hyacinth to that purple one if it should exist. That color to me is just a bit to garish & overbearing.

I have not seen or heard of a purple hyacinth yet myself. Just think how much the breeders would charge for one.

Purple is unique for sure, blue is just beautiful though. :)
