Savannah In The Shower

I posted pics of Savannah after her first shower awhile back. But never got a pic of her in the shower. Well here is a pic of her in the shower and one of her getting dried off. She has taken a few showers now. About once a week right now. The first time she was on the opposite end of the pole, not wanting to come close to the water stream. Now she leans into the stream a bit. Not completely under, but enough to hit her wing. I take handfuls of water in my hands and dribble it over her head. She likes that. I think it time she will enjoy it more and get into it on her own. At least that is the hope anyway. But the most important thing is she allows me to shower her and didn't make much of a fuss! :th_biggrin:

Yes, that towel photo is my favorite! She just looks so darn cute. I am amazed I was able to get a good shot as I used my phone to take the photo in one hand and had her perched on my other arm!

I've never thought about the hair dryer. I actually don't even know if I own one. I am a get up and go kinda gal with short hair and don't really use one. Maybe something to consider. Hmmmm.

Wished Ruby Jewel did. She hates water in any form except in her small bowl to dunk her pellets, nuts & anything else she wants to play with in. She never even tries to bathe in her small bowl. She was supposed to like showers & bathes according to her breeder, but so far she hates it all since I have had her.

I know she was never scared by her breeder (Kitty adores her & still misses her) or me with water, so I have come to the conclusion Ruby Jewel is the first female I have known who is not into frilly fru-fru sprucing up. She's no Barbi Doll macaw! That's for sure!!:th_LOL:

I do feel fortunate De'Andrea that Savannah is so easy going. It makes trying new things less difficult. She seems to trust me so much. :)

Well I don't blame Ruby Jewel one bit, I am not a fru fru kind of girl either! ;)
