Do any of you have experience with hummingbirds? I found on on my trail ride in the middle of the woods not able fly. I brought it home and have fed it nectar that I make for my feeders. He is bright and alert and will flutter around, but does not appear to be able to achieve flight. Please help! 12311232

At this point you have two options. Call a wildlife rehab center or set up a cage and feeder.

Well my little visitor is still alive and well this am. It still is fluttering about in the cage. It is eating nectar as I give it to him/her.

Nice of you to take him in. Hopefully he will get better soon and can go back home. :)

So far so good, as you can see he/she is fully feathered and I think in a few days will be ready to fledge. Can you believe they go from hatch day to adult in just 3 weeks?
