under the paper sleeper

Hi I am interested to know how many fellow Conure owners experience their birds sleeping under the newspaper in the bottom of their cage.
Of my passed birds over the years
Laurie Greencheek almost from day one slept under her paper
Lenny Greencheek always under the paper at night and ocassionaly during the daytime
Star cinnamon from the start slept under the paper

Now to the present ones
Steely Pearly Conure has slept under his paper after removing a dish of food that used to be on the floor and he is an ex avairy bird, goes under at times during the day as well.
Zak my SunConure has never shown an interest in sleeping under
Pearl and Jade Greencheeks Pearl dives under if someone strange comes to the home
Ruby Crimson Bellied born January first night under last Night

So do your conures sleep under the paper I would love to know to give some idea.
the lady who breed Pearl and Jade has keep conures for years and never had any of hers do it.

I just have the one GCC, Peta and she won't get near the bottom of her cage for any reason. She doesn't even go down to the bottom to pick at anything she drops. So, no I don't have a paper peeker or sleeper. :th_LOL: She does sleep in one or the other Snuggle Hut she has hanging in her cage.

Theres newspapers at the bottom of my playgym . Gingee [my sunconure] likes to get under the papers and play.:)

That is too adorable. I would love to see pics also! I have no conures so can't help you there. I would think it is fine that they do that in either case. Pretty cute!

I don't have conures but my cockatoos love getting on the bottom of their cage and hiding under the paper. They don't sleep there, just kinda hang out and mumble to themselves for a while :)

I will try and get pictures but a bit difficult. Firstly they hate the camera and all you would see is s a raised piece of newspaper when they are underneath.

Acephonechic yes I have a Crimson bellied conure (Ziggy) he is 10 months old now and he has slept under his papers that cover his cage grating. He has done it since I got him and he does it at night and during the day. Sometimes he just goes under the paper and plays or takes his treats and hides them or eats them.......lol. And like your baby he doesn't like the camera and it is hard to get his picture doing this but I will try.
